Greetings, I was at one time a proud owner of a 1992 900 coupe and am currently looking to get out of a 1999 Volvo V70 XC. I've got a lead on a local southern California 2001 9-5 wagon with the V6 and SE package. The miles are 77,000 and the dealer asking price is $6,000. There are actually a few around here to choose from but this one has the seat fans and perforated leather as a bonus. My question to the board is, what's a fair offer price and what exactly should I look for besides the AC issue, turbo, rear suspension, pvc update and pixels? I was thinking of $5200 as my limit price with the volvo as down and financing in-house or credit union (my credit is in shambles compared to years ago.) I can pay off the loan within the year and I'll still be spending $6000 but have a much needed better vehicle for the interim. The volvo has 210,000 miles and is in need of quite a few items. I got it at 170,000k 30 months a ago for $1500 and I feel its served well for what its worth. Thanks in advance and all the best.
