The 9-5 is a very solid car. I owen the 9-5 01 Aero a 2010 9-3 Aero and a 88 spg and between them all the 9-5 has the most room inside the car, has a tighter suspension and lets face it it will blow the doors off the 9-3 and spg from 0 to 45mph then after that the spg takes the lead but only because its running with mods. A stock spg couldn`t touch the performance of the 9-5 Aero. The 9-5 Aero has one of the bests handling suspension I ever felt. The car is a sled and like a sled you will feel every bump in the road its even rougher than the spg suspension.
Something happened with the 2010 9-3 Aero, the feel of the car isn't there it looks great but the performance is quite lacking in comparison, suspension drags through a corner, motor is under powered (in comparison that is)

Personally I love the sports car feel super tight suspension and low to the ground the 9-5 Aero is just that.... well the 01 is, the handabliaty and performance may have changed in the later years I don't know.
My 01 has me smiling from ear to ear couldn't ask for a better performing car because there's nothing that needs to improve. Perhaps one thing I found,

This 01 Aero I speak of is an automatic. I always drove manuals before this car just because rebuilding a clutch is far easier and way less money than to rebuild or buy a new transmission.

Let me insert a but here,..
This car has blown all bad thoughts I ever has about automatics out of my head just because what it dose from 0-45 mph it will literally smoke the tires getting to 45, then it seems the computer becomes confused and hesitates on shifting the car to next gear, this hesitation is so long it could be improved. This is the performance aspect of the automatic, lets not forget holding a cup of coffee in on hand and the steering wheel in the other and just pressing the gas to leave from a stop light, not needing to do a full on aerobic exercise just to get the car through the gears.,, yes I do believe it spoiled me and when the trans goes I`ll gladly drop a new one in.

But Ill worn you, the sport suspension in the 01 and I do believe the 02 would be the same is a very tight ride. The cars low and it handles corners as if there not even there.
