Honest question here, not a rhetorical one. Having a 2001, I have pondered this issue several times. If the engine is not running, whatever is poured in from the top should mostly end up in the pan (bypassing the oil cooler) and can be poured out when the plug is removed. So why not just get some solvent? Now, which solvent would work for dissolving carbon particles?
