Not the springs, the shocks are worn out. Your steering response with abrupt inputs will be bad as well. We do not see problems with the mounts; the NG900's certainly failed a lot. There are many threads here debating what brands to use. Koni FSD provide a smoother ride that insulates one from degraded road surfaces while producing good performance. Koni Sports have very good performance and are harsh on degraded road surfaces and telegraph a lot of road noise into the cab. There are obvious issues when someone else also drives the vehicle.
We have two aero wagons, 03 & 04. One has Koni Sports and the other has the FSD. So we have a daily reminder of the differences. On a long trip, which for me is 900 miles non-stop, there is a huge difference in driver fatigue. With the Sports I cab feel exhausted and with the FSD's I feel much better.
Others promote some different options.
