Since tire models come out so often I'm looking for some up to date suggestions on a set of tires for my 9-5. It currently has the Pirelli P6's on it which are down to wear bars (27k miles) and VERY loud.
I've had two 9-3's and in the past couple of years put the Continental Contact DWS on them based on research from this board. I've been pretty happy with them, but not enough miles yet to tell if they are going to get noisy.
Noise is my main concern as well as tread life.
I've seen a couple of ppl mention Michelin Pilot Sport A/S as being quiet, but then one person said they were noisy. They are on sale right now at Costco.
I've also seen a post with someone suggesting the Michelin Primacy MXM4 as having minimal noise and good handling and 55k warranty. Same post mentioned that the Pilot Sport A/S would have a harsher ride than the MXM4.
What about the Pirelli P6 Plus? I hate the P6 but the Plus is a Grand Touring tire..hopefully that means it's quieter?
Any feedback appreciated. I hesitated posting since there are so many tire threads but I noticed many are out of date. For instance Costco has a few different models on sale that when I searched saabnet there are absolutely no hits on the names.
