I have the MXV 4 Primacy tires on my wife's 9-5 wagon. They give it a quiet, smooth ride and work fine for normal driving. When you start to go through corners fast they show that they are a touring tire and not a performance tire. Road feel is poor as you push the tire hard and they get mushy. But my wife is pretty much Ms Obey the Speed Limit and doesn't corner fast, so they are OK. And they'll last a long time, which is fine. I don't drive that car much.
I've driven the same tires in rental cars and find they pretty much suck when you push them. An Altima I rented last spring had them and a wet on ramp was scary at a speed my 9K wouldn't even blink at.
Anyway, I lean toward Bridgestones. I have worn out a set of RE960AS on my 9K at about 40K miles. The ride a bit harder than I'd like on poor surfaces, but have been great in rain, are reasonably quiet and handling is fine. I'll probably get the RE970AS as a replacement.
You might also look at the Bridgestone Serenity Plus line. A grand touring tire that competes with the Michelin, but definitely has more of an edgy feel. A set came on one of the 9-3s we have for our daughters and they are a pretty good tire, but I've never really pushed them to see what they are like closer to the limit.
