After successfully resurrecting the Little Ice Age Knave's AGM motorcycle battery with the Noco Genius 5 "repair mode" (would not charge), i tried it on an old (approximately 6 year old NAPA battery) that would not charge past 12.6V (as measured after charging and letting rest overnight). It was obviously past it's prime (sulphated) and lacking vigour and enthusiasm when starting a 9-5. The "repair mode" took in excess of the 4 hours stated in the manual and completed sometime during the dark, cold, windy, wee hrs of the nite. It now has a resting voltage of 12.71 which technically puts it at or very close to 100%. BTW, my new Canadian Tire Motomaster AGM warranty replacement battery is sitting fully charged at 13.03V and the identical 4 yr old unit is at 12.73. All three batteries are out of the 9-5's and resting without a floating charger (not trickle charger) in excess of 24 hrs. In conclusion, I am starting to develop a respect for the Noco Repair Mode in spite of a propensity for conspiracy theories. Over and out.
