Hello,
Yes there could be many reasons and Tech 2 is only reliable way to check. If it was the module failing the speedometer would drop out when it acts up. Usually the intermitant light is related to a speed signal. Sometimes a sensor, sometimes the rear junction and sometimes the reluctor ring on a front cv starting to split from rust build up underneath. Sometimes a tire that is off a size can do it but not if all 4 are the same but that is pretty rare.
There are a few other generic scanners that usually will pull a abs code on these cars. They are usually made by Launch and I think one by cReader. If you are stuck on something to read the code contact me and we can see if there is something I can do to help you. Good Luck, Bernie
