I don't really suspect that the source of the leak is around the chain tensioner area. I figured I'd add it to the list of things to try to stop the leak just in case. The leak looks to be mostly coming from the oil pump. I'm waiting for the o-ring and seal.
Is replacing the head gasket a big job on these cars (in case that is my problem)? What would cause the head gasket to leak?
I removed and replaced the PCV box (oil trap) with a new one. When I removed the dipstick pipe the trap came out easily from below (after removing the stay pipe, ground wires, etc.). I recently replaced the entire PCV plumbing, and the trap was the last part that I needed to replace. (I probably didn't need to replace all, but now I know the condition.)
I got a good look at the oil pressure switch and the area was completely clean/dry. The switch looks new. I also do not know how to get to it, so I just left it though I do have a new switch.
Waiting on parts to replace the valve cover gasket (looks clean), oil pump O-ring and crank seal, and chain tensioner. I am also replacing the oil thermostat and sump o-rings while I'm down there (parts in-hand).
