I've been trying to help a relative with a similar problem, 2003 9-5 Aero, little or no motion in forward or reverse. Fluid level OK and fluid clean, no sign of debris. Changing fluid did not help.

There is diagnostic information in the Saab WIS online:

We haven't done anything on it for quite a while (over a year) due to other priorities, but as I recall we had tested solenoid operation in all gears with a Tech2 and were at the point where we intended to hook up a test gauge to check hydraulic system pressure:

There are solenoids that control hydraulic pressure that can be a source of trouble:

That's about all I have, it's been long enough that details are hazy.
