I am a bit skeptical that very small leaks can be found that only result in the loss of about one can of refrigerant over 12 months. Larger leaks that evacuate the entire system would be much easier to find. With the variable compressor in all? or most 9-5s, it might be a bit harder for a DIY to ensure the right amount of coolant is in the system, unlike more older/primitive systems.
