Why not get a second opinion ? Is there a time or convenience issue here ? They claim that you need both pads and rotors, yet the car show's no symptoms of a problem, so what's the rush ? If you have 10% left as they claim, you could continue to drive it until the car starts showing the usual signs of a brake problem (squealing, or chatter/rumble). The harm one fears in waiting too long to replace the pads is that damage can occur to the rotors, which they claim require replacing anyway...
Seriously.. have them looked at by another mechanic for peace of mind.. Also reconsider your braking style.. I've seen some posts in the past that discuss braking techniques, etc. to maximize wear...
