Good for you Brad, in following up with Saab. I completely agree that routine rotor replacement (RRR?) has no place in a luxury sedan. I *might* expect it from Kia, but I'd still be ticked.
You're also correct, they changed pad formulation for MY'00. It's difficult for me to believe that a different pad could cause such a huge difference in rotor wear, but I can't think of any other variable. Are there any M.Y. '00 and newer 9-5s on list with *good* pad and rotor wear?
Perhaps it's time for a TSN brake wear poll for the 9-5? Might be a good idea to collect some statistics.
