This is just an exercise in rebadging. Remember when Buick took Isuzus and rebadged them as Opels? Same thing.
And as for Saab disappearing if good ol'GM hadn't come along, I really doubt that. Someone more suitable would have come along, or the government would have bailed them out. Ideal scenario probably would have been a Saab/Volvo merger, before Ford jumped in. I agree that Saab is in trouble, but I think GM's presence only makes things worse.
