I have a 01 9-5 and a 99 V70 GLT. Both cars have been reliable without any serious problems. Not perfect but I have no regrets. The Saab is a tighter drive and more fun car to drive, even my wife prefers to drive it. The Volvo is more comfortable on long hauls (better seats). If I was looking for a replacement used car I would replace the Volvo with a Saab wagon - hands down. After driving a Saab for 2+ years I don't think I would even look around too much. I think a used Saab is incredible value for the money when compared to some of the other European and even Japanese. The only thing that would sway me back to Volvo is selection (V70 has third seat but also more engine, drivetrain choices) and service which is better where I live, but right now a FWD Saab fits the bill.
