basically 3 sub options exist
Option 1)mount a sub w/box and place somewhere in trunk, and a add an amp to drive it. 10 inch is most common size sub for this setup. Get an Amp with high level inputs... or buy a LOC (converter) and feed existing speaker lines into it. If you have the AS3/premium/prestige setup..you can use the existing feeds going into the rear deck, and tap into them, or disconnect them from existing speakes entirely. Otherwise for the AS2 (no rear deck speakers) you need to tap into whatever delivers the bass or full range currently (e.g. front doors)
Option 2) Add a self powered sub solution. Infinity basslink is most popular here. Bass Tubes are also popular , but not as tight/clean sounding. This unit gets mounted on the back of your rear seat.. and connections work the same as in option 1 as far as speaker feeds go.
Option 3: Find a good replacement pair of free air 6x9 subs to mount in the existing rear deck opening. Tough to find.. and you would most likely want to add an amp to help drive them, otherwise not worth the effort.
Option 4: Many people also opt to replace or add a good pair of full range 6x9's to rear deck to get a fuller/richer sound. Would also add an amp to drive this solution...
