Mostly in the eye of the beholder.I;m willing to bet that the stick might be faster on the highway,the auto will beat it off the line in city day to day traffic.So, which is faster? Depends on what you want it to do.
Mileage? Again, chances are that the way you drive it will impact the mileage far more than whether itis a stick or anautomatic. My 2002 Aero auto gets 31plus on the highway and averages just under 28. How many of the same car with the stick can report getting that? I'm guessing not many.
Fun? strictly subjective of course.If you drive a lot in city stop and go traffic, a stick is usually anything but fun.By the way,I have a hands free setup in my Aero and love my coffee,as well as that cup holder that so many people bash on this board, and consider myself a very involved driver.Someone who drives very aggresively while cutting me off and shifting their own gears does not get my vote as an "involved with the experience" driver in my book
