Totally agree! I currently have 4 Saabs; 89 900t, 90 SPG with every upgrade, 90 SE conv., and a 96 9000 AERO. Impossible, totally impossible to keep them running in tip-top condition. I've spent many thousands of $$ every year to keep them running. Air conditioners on Saabs are poor, head gaskets on all models fail, even 9000 fail before 100,000 miles. These cars are fun and FAIRLY fast when up to speed. But all are slow off the line. People on this site tend to exaggerate a bit on how fast their Saabs are, but in reality, they never drive any thing else. I'm not a mechanic, nor do I want to be one, I just want to get in a car and feel the rush of speed(former pilot in Navy). Saabs lack the power, at least 900t and 9000 Aeros. Have driven 9-5 AERO, not bad, probably equivalent to a Nissan Maxima.Saabs never win any comparisons with other cars in all car magazines. They are fun and I love all mine, but I wouldn't buy another one with all the problems.
