Ed is correct, if you change out all the components, there is nothing left to flush. However, in my experience, most of the oil was in the condensor and evaporator so a flush with mineral spirits is probably warranted-evaporator had the most when I did mine. A vaccum will remove anything that is in a gaseous state. The purpose behind the vaccum pull is to essentially decrease the pressure in the system so that any moisture boils off into gas and all the gas gets removed by the vaccum. I don't think any R12 mineral oil left will boil into a gas at the vaccum created in these a/c systems-which is why you flush. as for adding oil, I added it to components but I think you can also add anywhere and let it propogate as Ed suggests. Only exception is the compressor, make sure you fill that regardless of where you add oil otherwise.
