Jump Start Not Working

92 900T won't start. Haven't been driving it much lately and a month or so ago the battery died. I got it jumped, went out and bought a new one and replaced it. My Saab suddenly felt like it was on crack--acceleration like I haven't seen from it in years.
Only a couple days later, starting the engine took a few seconds. Now, the battery is dead again and I just tried to jump it with a neighbor's truck and it wouldn't go. We tried his my cables and his.
I called the shop and they wouldn't know what the problem is and to tow it down.
Does anyone have any ideas on getting it started so that I might avoid paying for a tow truck?
