Thanks for all your responses ... I realize this type of question comes up often and I have been reading through the other similar threads.

The battery was still under warranty, so they gave me a new one (they didn't even want to test it first, just gave me a new one). I just finished putting it in and it still clicks once, turns slightly upon releasing the ignition. I wire brushed the connections on the battery cables (as I did a month ago when I put in the other battery).

So ... anything else that can be done with relative ease or is it time to fork out for the tow? From what I gather, potential other points of failure include: voltage regulator, brushes, the alternator ground, the alternator.
