Okay, if anyone even reads one this old, I will say for the masses that I went with a real basic operation. I had some older home stereo surround speakers (4" with a hub to carry it). I tested it by splicing into the rear speakers, right before the speaker connection and turned up the tunes. Everything was good. No heat, no static...no problems. So, then I ground down the housing that they were in and removed the speaker fabric so that it was just the speaker and a circular speaker vent to bolt on somewhere. Again, another test...no problems. So, then I went looking for places to put it...in the dip in the headliner above the rear seat? in the armrests in the rear with a fiberglass mold? cut into the armrest wall and mount it right to the panel? I ended up trying all three and went with the third one. I used a dremel and drilled out perfect holes in the rear interior panel armrest wall and mounted the speakers with 2 screws and ran the wires through the panelling...it sounds great. The rear stocks kinda sucked to start, but I replaced one, did both the front and it still was weak. No bass...that's the real problem. With these used-to-be satellite speakers for a Phillips Magnavox home theater have been resurrected to be great panel speakers in the saab. Thanks for all the help everyone, but until something bad happens, I am going to chalk it up to dumb luck...
