94 Commemorative Re-Spray Posted by incorvati [Email] (#477) [Profile/Gallery] (more from incorvati) on Sun, 18 Feb 2007 09:38:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Looking for help in resolving an ongoing battle in my head . . . well, one of several :)
Recently acquired a very solid '94 900 Commemorative CV (#150). Spent most of its time in AR and TN, so it needs a re-spray.
Sometimes the metallic black looks dusty, or even grey, to me as I strip the car to its shell (certainly some fade issues) – other times I think its fine. Maybe it’s just growing on me. Originally, I was in the market for solid black over tan when this one presented itself and I have never looked closely at a clean example of the CE convertible to get a feel for a well-maintained metallic black.
Any thoughts on dialing back the metallic flake or otherwise darkening the overall look - or should I stay true to the color code?
. . and since I'm speaking of messing with a commemorative/collectible(?), what about hanging SPG skirts on it with traditional 3spokes when I'm done?
Any input would be appreciated. Some pics in My Gallery, which I’ll probably update as this goes on: http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/members/gallery.html?memberID=477
