Thanks for the helpful input. You are correct in that when I catch a good spot on the CE the metallic looks great - trying to decide if its a light and angle thing or a fade thing (driving me nuts). I have some pics from SOC'02 with the CEs lined up next to a solid black CV - there you can tell a sight difference, but the CEs defintely look better than what I am contemplating over in my garage at the moment.
As I'm stripping the car basically to-the-shell I want to get this right the first time - doubt I'll be doing it again! As for a color change, with the engine coming out this weekend, as well as everything else, I'd like to get an idea which way I'm heading. As I did with my '86, I shot the engine bay myself, leaving a small lip at the fender seams. The engine goes back in and then over to my friend at the paint shop who shoots the rest of the shell - then I get to put it all back together - actually, quite fun as I imagine you know!
If you have a pic, or several for that matter, of your first CE with the SPG panels please feel free to abuse the bandwith on my mail server, I'd love to get a look at some - were the panels painted black or grey? Thinking if I go black there that would help the overall black look of the car.
Thanks again for taking the time to read through this and help me out here!
