Each car would need to be boiled in acid and welded, followed by paint. Then a complete engine and tranny rebuild, followed by new wiring harness, followed by all new switches, lights, leather, dashboard reconstruction, rim repair work, hoses, liners, bushings, batteries.

Boil in acid 2k, welding count on 2k, paint 4k, engine rebuild 3k, tranny rebuild 1.5k, harness .5k, guages and switches 1k, rim work .6k, interior work 2k, labor 8k, showroom 3k/month.

You would need to provide 100k warranties to be competitive. You would need to upgrade every factory recall and defect. You would need to charge 30k/car just to break even. Insurance companies would never insure these cars for that much. No one would buy a car that insurance would not cover.

These are not old GTO's. We love them, but once I get my 1979 10'th Anniversary Pontiac TA back in shape I am selling the SiS. The SiS will never top 20k in the next 10 years. A mint professionaly restored Sonett II 2 stroke only goes for 12k. The T/A in mint shape is already 35k in value and will only go up. A GTO will fetch 100k.

You need to speciallize in a car that is high demand and can make you money.

I am sorry for attacking your idea, but you need honesty before making this leap.

Best,

C
