we're just poking fun at symantics. I'm saying that 100% fiberglass will not stick because it is the RESIN that does the sticking, the fiberglass that gives it strenth. That being said, no "fiberglass" repair is 100% fiberglass.
Have you ever see a SAAB sonett? a corvette? They have "fiberglass" bodies, and with the sonett in particular, they all crack eventually. Nothing fatal, nothing major, just spider cracks that are really hard to repair correctly, no matter how well you can mix the resin.
I use both metal and fiberglass on a regular basis. I know how metal oxidizes and how to mix resin. The only point being made initially is that the best way to fix a rust problem is to replace the metal...especially if you have perforation as the rust will have inevitably sprawled to the other side of the sheet metal. It WILL rear its ugly head again sometime in the future.
Lets just chill, we will all do it our own way and have variations of success. Good luck brother.
