and i have no doubt of you abilities in being the best they come.
just by looking at the weld job on that pic. you posted.
but have you run the numbers of just how much fiberglass and styrene
in your 40 gallon drum.
it almost leaves the word fiberglass out.
you do realise my stats come off a quart can and i use the 100% fiberglass mat.
one can not through fiberglass mat over the holes. (not saying leave the rust)
once the fiberglass mat is soaked with resin it turnes into a mush runny mess, once the mat is applied to the car (if rust divits were left)
with the pressing of the mat on the metal the holes would be filled just because of how sloppy everything is, and if a new mat was cut for the bottom of the metal (mat on top and bottom)
and soaked in resin it would form as one solid sheet of fiberglass with rusted metal trapped within, unable to be exposed to the elements (air)
to rust any further.
i have no doubt you shop is one of the best and i would not hesitate to bring my business there, but informing the customer of bondo being reinforced with fiberglass, in actuality its not.
the milled part of the equation takes fiberglass and grinds it down into a fine dust, and in this form the fiberglass would have no structure to reinforce anything. and running the numbers would show just how little fiberglass dust is in a spread of putty.
in a gallon the fiberglass is at 1.3%
in a quart 0.65%
in a spoon full thinking 100 spoon fulls is a quart its at 0.065%
that's if i did the numbers right.
but seeing they have fiberglass dust in it, it can be listed as bondo putty with fiberglass.
