Hi Ray -- the nomenclature is actually auxiliary air valve instead of manual air valve -- I called it manual to differentiate between the AIC "Automatic" POS, and the bi metallic version.

One of the part numbers for the valve is 9313909 listed in the EPC for 90-94 C900s....eEuro sells them for $99 new. I have some off old cars and they work fine. As long as the bimetal operates they work -- put it into the freezer and look through the valve -- when it gets warm, the opening changes visibly.

I put the idle control circuit on for the AC on one of the cars -- the solenoid bumps up the rpms by about 200 to compensate for the extra load. When I set all the TPS, idle stop, etc etc etc...I have the lights on and the fans, so the alternator is operating and idle speed is set to the load. One the other car, I just have the aux valve with no AC solenoid circuit, but will add it later as that car has a lightened flywheel and is very load sensitive.
