Their great when they work. They are over-priced. I can understand if the cars hot-rodded and replacing the AIC. Here's a thought! Couldn't one by-pass the AIC hoses and adjusted the stop screw (if it doesn't break) to increase the idle. Then reset the throttle sensor positioner to right before it clicks. OHhhhh! the model T's and their manually adjusted timing lever. The early VW's and their starting crank handles. Glad someone thought to automate these parts with things like, Automatic timing advance and electric starting motors. The good old bendix gear! Advancement weights that swing out under centrifugal forces. Don't forget some of the newer cars with the <drive by wire> throttle. No Cable to break, probably some really expensive part to replace when it goes bad. New technology isn't for everyone. I'm keeping my AIC for that smooth constance idle when the A/C's on, or at night when the alternator under load. WD-40 for things that need cleaning or for those that want their arthritic joint moving better. The original use of compounds of WD-40 was use for horse liniment. If you don't want your old AIC, just send it to me.
