Thanks for reading and responding.
I cleaned all grounds I could get to easily, including at the radiator. The battery is fairly new (about a year), but I hadn't thought about physical damage (it looks fine). I've had the car in to the same indy four times now; I would think he would have checked that. Wiring issues are quite possible, but again, no suggestions from my mechanic on that one.
I should have been clearer - I'm not concerned about the ABS light; I'm pretty sure that's a bad sensor wire. I only included that information to describe how the electrical issue shows itself.
