So I recently had an At-idle/stoplight-almost-stall behavior on my 92 900T.
I reached in when cold, and tried to push the radiator fan to spin. Mine was so fried that it barely spun...when it was running, it was about a thousand degrees (kidding). So I replaced, and stall behavior is much better...more like a dip in RPMs but not stall.
Also, the green and, separately, black thick wires going to these fans are prone to get oxidized/degrade...just take a look. mine were green inside, so I replaced them too. Major current suck when resistance is high from corroded wires.
