My search for a C900 CV keeps producing potential acquisitions with various issues, all called minor by their owners. The latest find, a 1993 two owner Turbo originally from California with 5-speed, has the following:
Minor oil leak through the distributor. Owner says it is an easy repair requiring only a $5 seal and he has done it twice in the five years he has owned the car. Does this sound correct? 30 month seal life sounds like a worn distributor shaft to me. 175K miles too which concerns me a little.
Broken hinge in the convertible top frame which requires the top be lowered manually but top can be raised hydraulically. I thought I read that top frames are not available, but can they be repaired? Are parts available?
Keyless power lock module doesn't work but owner has the new part. Is the owner somewhat lazy or is this problem commonly bigger than merely plug-n-play with a new module?
Thanks,
