Unless the engine systems are modded for significantly increased power the mitsu will be sufficient and has the quicker response and power at lower RPM. I believe I've seen data supporting the Mitsu for up to 250 hp.
With restrained tweeking I believe the increased power factors into the lower RPM boost and thus power. With only tweaks to the stock APC I think my '90 SPG has boost 1/3 into red before 3000RPM if I dare to abuse my 165k trans. The bigger turbo gives more 'turbo rush' and sensory input when it builds boost in hard acceleration. It seems that the larger turbo may have ability to kick boost at a faster rate when it comes on, but the mitsu may already be there. Mitsu durability ? ? - mine is OE and untouched at 165k with synthetic changes at 20-2500 since I bought it at 131k.
