Hi Notnoel,
Thanks for staying in touch. If the idle speed was a reasonable 50 to 150 rpms over what it ought to be, it would be reasonable to assume a vaccum leak . But, in order to acquire a resonable RPM rate, I have to retard the distributor or turn it Counterclockwise pass the 0 position and then some. Remember the setting should be in the neighborhood of 16 degrees (BTDC).and if I place it there,I am seeing approximately 3500rpms: like a sreaming demon. In my view this has to be a problem of greater significance allbeit, there is no rough idling just crazy fast.Another dead give away is the fact that the turbocharger has been heating up rather rapidly and almost to a dull red at the setting mentioned above(0 degrees BTDC.) I know you guys mean well, and I will check out each vac hose as you suggest and Should you not hear from me for a little while I will be wrenching.
