Thanks RS,Notnoel and Radio Flyer,
I am going to inspect some more. You all should know that I have cleaned the AIC valve as well as the throttle body thoroughly, I did also pinch of each AIC tubes and my idle dropped significantly down almost enough to stall the motor out completely.I assume that the AIC is working ok.Now I will pinch off other vacum lines to detect any culprits.
Now, I am inclined to locate and replace the AIC valve with a gold colored unit with a three wire connector because information thus far mention a "three wire" connector for this model and year.I am currently using the "two wire" unit plucked of the 88 motor I discarded.I would like a comment on this ploy and info on location to hook up a test lead to bring up codes.Rule out a ten pin connector under the bellows ahead of the gear shift lever. There is none there. The five pin connector hanging from under the dash under the steering column proved to be of no use as well. What a mess.
