Components, relays, pumps, ecu's, etc, do go bad but more often than not these sort of problems are the result of corroded or loose wire connections and electronic fuel injection like LH is very sensitive to the quality of it's power (12 volts) and ground. You'll be cursing me when you start trying to R & R those relays! Have patience, it's just a matter of positioning your body just right and bending your arm in a magical fashion. Sometimes I use a short screwdriver to help start them out of their sockets if they are really tight (But don't touch the terminals with it, some are hot! Or disconnect the battery first.)
