Is that hammer going after RIP XP or trying to install the EPC in Windows 7?

In order to get the shifter housing removed, you have to pull out the black shroud or lift it up -- take the 'Y' ducts out from under the seat so the shroud can be released from it's jail.

Or, follow the Bentley manual and it will tell you the steps you need to take.
