All of what you say is correct. However, if you want to connect to the internet and you have XP inside the machine, it will eventually eat its own liver from hackers that have figured out how to penetrate the unsupported XP. If you believe that you can run XP without problems inside a Windows 7 environment, then it's all your risk. I've interviewed the guys that know this stuff inside out and backwards, and anyway you look at it, XP is a eventually a security threat for your data or programs.
Did you hear about the SSL socket invasion yesterday....shut down some of the big boys.....these hackomatics are going never stop this nonsense. We were talking about what was the next invasion into XP, and the consensus was that the hackomatics will just nibble away at little bits and pieces. If they unloaded a virus bomb and made all of them explode all at once, then they wouldn't be able to play with their victims. Like a cat carrying around a baby squirrel until it doesn't move any more.......predatory torture until the victim is expired......
AOL is on death row tonight too -- mail has been down for hours and hours, so those hackomatics are in OverDrive tonight.
