Bought a used 9000 from this exact same dealer in Staten Island and had exact same problems. Yes, there were tons of photos but he used a lot of touch-up paint and further touched up the photos themselves significantly. I have since noticed he tends to use the exact same description for every vehicle, i.e., "shifts flawlessly" "LOOK AT THE PHOTOS!!" etc. He also deals in Land Rovers and I read on a Land Rover blog (after my purchase unfortunately) similar complaints and warnings to run away from this guy/never buy from them. My car had a busted speedo ring/sensor that would have required dropping transmission, bad fuel pump, rusted brake lines, bent rims w/bad tires, engine leaks, just to begin. The number of problems he hid is too long to list.
Over the last decade, I successfully bought 3 other Saabs & 2 Volvos advertised on-line, mostly sight unseen (by me but did normally pay for independent pre-purchase inspection). All those sellers were ethical & honest individuals or dealers. Based on those good experiences, I got over-confident & did not pay for an independent pre-purchase inspection this time. I also chose to go outside E-Bay to "save $" when he offered it, which of course negated the E-Bay protections. He was extremely difficult to deal with after the sale, a very polite way of saying it. I would not mind if the NY Attorney General's office got involved and investigated this operation for false advertising. Among other false statements made: "engine does not leak," "good straight rims," and "runs and drives 100%." Wish I had posted my experience earlier and could have potentially saved you the trouble.
