When I came over a blind hill I smacked the deer, it was right in the middle of the road, after I hit it I must have been looking back to see what it was that I hit and WHAM into the pole. The road veered slightly to the left and I didn't, here in the back roads of WV the utility poles are right next to the road.
I have hit many, many deer over the last 25 years, a few in my 87 900s, usually the deer damage was mainly to the headlights, grill and front section of the hood, but on 87+ cars, in my opinion the front end isn't as stout as the pre 87 cars. My 85 has all metal headlight buckets unlike the plastic setup on the 87+ cars.
As sad as this sounds, it hurts my heart to know that my 85 will be shredded, you just never see them anymore, its a damn shame that even though C900, especially 4 doors like mine are very rare there is just no demand for them
