on both my c900's... when they started to run hot (top end of range) it was swapping the radiator that fixed it.
I'm not saying you don't have other problems or that the rad is necessarily the problem - definitely troubleshoot... but if the rad is quite old, I would just plan on that being a piece of the puzzle. Replace the tstat with a genuine Saab one and any suspect hoses while you are at it! tstat is a wear item and you don't want it to fail and cause you to overheat! Replace them every few years.
I also recommend following Tom Townsend's advice with cooling systems (google his name and cooling system or search it here). Merc coolant, 82 degree tstat, 82 degree fan switch.
