And, more remarkable about this effort was how people came together to make it work for us. There was a mishap and our oil was contaminated the night before we left after putting 5-40 Motul into the crankcase, which is a 50 dollar bill.....I didn't have any spare oil filters ( odd because I usually have a dang case ) and when we were doing a compression check on the trailer, the engine starting acted funny. So, to solve this, the sister Saab coming up from North Carolina brought a spare oil filter, and along the way in Indianapolis, Dan from Road Tested Saabs put out a spare ignition switch in the secret hiding spot, so if we needed one, there was one a couple hours away.
It turns out that we didn't use either, but the assistance in advance problem solving was very helpful, for the the peace of mind especially. So, thanks to Steve Bush at RTS and Chris Dobbins from Dobbins Racing for the last minute help in a pinch.
