That's pretty much how I store my spares: on small harbor fright movers dollies.
Totally agree with Landjet as to your potential courses of action.
I would add another step if you're adventurous, mechanically reclined (as Norm Crosby would say), and good with spatial puzzles: put it up on a workbench and pull both inner drivers *and* the differential. Then you can see how much play there is in the pinion bearings and clean out the swarf that has settled in the bottom of the back end.
Keep all of the shims together with their associated inner driver bearing holders and, when putting it back together, replace the bearing carrier O rings, seal the bolts for the bearing carriers and differential cover with Permatex No. 2. Torque the bolts to 20 ft-lbs. (I just did this on my vert, so it's fresh in my mind - had to swap inner drivers.) It's very satisfying when it all goes back together.
