You would still probably want to filter the oil ahead of a pump though.....the magnet isn't going to pick up the brass stuff worn off.....and the late model transmission has that plastic filter housing that can sift out the junk.....
I can't tell you how relieved I was that the shifter works well. Sometimes I never hear back about the results and so far batting a 1000. But, parts are hard to get to build them, so what you have is probably the end of the production line for the time being.
Saab parts USA screwed me on my order and short shipped then never filled the order for shafts, and still charged me for all six shafts when I only got three. Sat on hold on the phone for so long that they decided it was time to go home, and never completed the return transaction. I basically caved and gave up which is so typical in the world we live in.
