I've done the resistor mod which I think is a searchable term here.

I also run 3.0 FPRs and tweek the timing a bit to I think 18 degrees. Sadly, I only have stock injectors.

Just these simple, inexpensive (less than $10 if you get the FPR from a junkyard) mods really add a little more zip and fun to driving.

If you want to spend more money, from what I remember, back in the days of the performance board, when asked what people's single most favorite improvement was, it was a 3" downpipe or Jak Stoll's eprom upgrade.

Definitely go for the box mod though, cheap, easy and a noticeable upgrade.
