This sounds like a carbon copy of what I recently went through.

I finally gave up and had the car towed to my Indy Saab mechanic.

He found the problem right away - combination of Hall Sensor (which was good) and a bad AMM. Couldn't find a new one so he replaced it with a used AMM.

Are you positive the AMM you replaced is really good?

The car runs great again!
