The battery seems like the obvious start-point suspect for some testing.
Is your battery a sealed unit? Or does it have removable caps for water-refilling? Low water-levels will compromise your battery output.
Grab your multimeter and get the volts readout from your battery while the car is running. It should be well above 13...maybe even in the 14V region.
Now get the volts number from the starter and the alternator with the engine running. Compare them and see how close they are. If they're different by around .3 or more, you might be dealing with bad cables.
Check your main battery ground-point down on the radiator right side; it should be adequately clean.
