Fix the governor seals promptly, driving it with really bad seals is not doing the trany any good. If you must drive it, shift it manually up and down. Governor seals can be taken out (fried) by driving in reverse long distances and/or fast. First sign of bad seals is a quick shift to second when starting from a stop using heavy throttle. It can start in 2nd without your knowing it when using light to normal throttle. Shuddering indicates the tranny is in 3rd or 4th.
