Well I just drove my "new '93 Aero" 5 speed back from RI to NJ.240 miles and I want to report What differences I notice between the Aero and my '96 cse.
I din't feel any appreciable difference in the quickness of the Aero vs the cse but everything else was superb. The stiff supension and lower profile is a world of difference in favor of the Aero. The cse does not compare. The seats in the Aero are undeniable more comfortable. In the cse my right knee contacts the dash right at the curve which on trips becomes so un comfortable that I keep a thick wrist/sweatband in the car to place between the right side of my knee and the dash.Because of the different contour of the Aero seats I did not even contact the dash,I'm 5'11 and I like to sit very close to the wheel. One thing that bothers me in both cars is that I don't get a good view of the boost gauge and the directionals are completly obscured and often times I have my directionals on for extended periods if the turn was not severe enough to disengage it.This Aero I just picked up is 13 years old and has 250k miles on the clock and she feels so tight and I am absolutely thrilled to have found her.I bought her from a retired airline pilot who was the second owner for 10 years.Obviously he treated her gently because I believe she has the original head gasket.Interior is beautiful and some rust around the lower A posts and rear wheel wheels but really in fine shape overall and certainly a keeper.I'd rather have two 9k's than one of anything else.Black on black of course. It's nice to have this forum to share good news.Don
