The Bars Leak can be purchased at any auto parts store. The product you want is in a small silver colored plastic container. You really need to pour it into the upper radiator hose. If you pour it into the overflow tank it will take forever to work its way into the system.

ONLY DO THE FOLLOWING WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD.
The hose I am talking about is the large one on the right side of the radiator (standing at the bumper looking at the engine) that goes to the engine. You can loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the hose at the radiator side. Coolant will pour out. Lift the end of the hose up and pour the Bars Leak in. Then reattach the hose and tighten the hose clamp. Then add coolant mixed with water (50/50) to the overflow tank all the way to the "max" mark. Make sure to tighten the overflow cap.
Drive the car around for 15 min. or so. Check for leaks at the hose end you disconnected. The next day check the coolant level in the overflow tank one more time and add as needed.

Now on your exhaust leak. I think what may be happening is that your exhaust system may not leaking, otherwise your mechanic should be able to find the leak easily.
What is most likely happening is that the exhaust coming out of the tailpipe is finding its way into the car. This can happen if the rear hatch is not closing all the way, the rear hatch seal leaks, or there are rust holes in the floor at the rear.
You should have a mechanic inspect the exhaust system including the header pipe (unless you already have had this done). Any exhaust shop can do this.
